A complete DJI Dock 3 and Matrice 4TD system is more than two hardware products. It requires a prepared fixed site or compatible vehicle-mounted arrangement, power, network connectivity, positioning, FlightHub 2 configuration, approved routes, trained supervision, a data-review process, and a clear division of local responsibilities.
Review the DJI Dock 3 hardware and $10,999 price and the Matrice 4TD thermal drone and $6,999 standalone option before requesting a quotation.
24/7 autonomous drone operations
“Autonomous” describes a remotely managed mission cycle. It does not remove the need for legal approval, trained oversight, weather limits, site safety, or human review.
Plan the evidence
Define the asset, defect or incident, viewpoints, thermal requirements, route, schedule, and acceptance criteria before configuring hardware.
Launch and capture
After preflight checks, the Dock 3 system can support scheduled or approved on-demand Matrice 4TD missions under the configured operating procedure.
Return and recharge
The aircraft returns to the drone docking station, lands, and recharges so the site can prepare for the next authorized mission.
Review and respond
Operators and analysts review visible and thermal records, compare repeat missions, and route exceptions to maintenance, security, or response teams.
Thermal and night operations
One aircraft for visual and thermal context
Matrice 4TD combines wide, medium-tele, tele, thermal, NIR, and laser-rangefinding capabilities in a Dock-compatible aircraft.
Visible cameras establish scene context and help operators inspect assets from different working distances. Thermal imaging supports temperature-focused review, while NIR illumination and laser rangefinding contribute to low-light awareness and target-position workflows.
Thermal results still depend on emissivity, reflected temperature, distance, angle, weather, target material, and review settings. A deployment plan should define how anomalies will be verified rather than treating a single thermal image as a final diagnosis.
Applications for recurring remote missions
Select the system when mission frequency, distance, risk, or response time justifies a permanent or mobile dock workflow.
Deployment options
Configure the package around the site
A DJI Dock 3 package should be quoted after the mission, aircraft, location, and support scope are known.
- Fixed-site deploymentPlan the foundation or mounting surface, power, grounding, network, drainage, physical security, GNSS visibility, and safe operating area.
- Vehicle-mounted deploymentConfirm the compatible mount, parked operating condition, vehicle power and communications, slope, clearance, and changing authorization area.
- Aircraft and sparesSpecify Matrice 4TD, batteries, controller requirements, accessories, replacement parts, and service expectations.
- Software and dataConfirm FlightHub 2 plan, users, cloud quotas, storage, map or thermal review tools, security, and integration needs.
- Delivery and commissioningProvide destination, quantity, timeline, import requirements, installation responsibilities, training, and remote or on-site support scope.
Buyer questions
Dock 3 + Matrice 4TD FAQ
Confirm final capabilities, regional compatibility, and operating requirements in the written quotation.
What are the published Dock 3 package prices?
The DJI Dock 3 + Matrice 4TD package is $16,999 USD, compared with standalone prices of $10,999 for Dock 3 and $6,999 for Matrice 4TD. The DJI Dock 3 + Matrice 4T procurement bundle is $15,999 USD, compared with a $5,999 standalone Matrice 4T price; Matrice 4T remains controller-operated and does not dock with Dock 3.
Can Matrice 4TD operate with DJI Dock 3?
Yes. Matrice 4TD is part of the Matrice 4D Series designed for DJI Dock 3 remote operations. The aircraft, dock, software, site, connectivity, and operating approval must be commissioned as one system.
What industries use DJI Dock 3 with Matrice 4TD?
Typical applications include energy inspection, critical infrastructure, industrial facilities, remote security, public safety, and emergency response where repeatable visual and thermal missions are useful.
Can the system perform remote autonomous missions?
The system can support scheduled and approved on-demand remote missions when DJI Dock 3, Matrice 4TD, FlightHub 2, connectivity, the site, and the operating procedure are correctly configured.
Is international project support available?
AeroNest prepares international hardware and deployment quotations. Freight, import requirements, product-region compatibility, installation, software, and local aviation compliance must be confirmed for each destination.
